About the challenge

More than a run.

The JDF Run Challenge is an annual initiative by the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDF), Maharashtra Chapter, to raise awareness about Type 1 Diabetes and bring people together — across India and around the world.

It's a community effort to support those living with T1D, celebrate inclusion, and create a more informed and empathetic society. Every kilometre is a small step towards a brighter, more understanding future.

A few helpful details

Questions, answered.

Everyone is welcome: people living with Type 1 Diabetes, their family and friends, healthcare professionals, and anyone who wants to show support.

Not at all. You can walk, jog, or run at your own pace, wherever you are. The challenge is about showing up and building awareness together.

Log an activity on each of the 14 challenge days and cover at least 30 km in total. Your dashboard will show your progress as you go.

Once signed in, add your activity date, type and distance along with a supporting link or screenshot. Valid submissions are counted immediately — there is nothing to wait for.

Yes. You can edit any of your unlocked activity records until the submission deadline. If the JDF team corrects a record, it becomes locked and the corrected value is shown.

Participants who meet both completion requirements can download their certificate from their account after the event closes. A copy will also be sent to their registered email address.

The community progress page is private: only verified participants registered for this event and authorised JDF administrators can access it. Activity details, evidence links and photos are shared with those participants, while your email address is never shown.
